Laparoscopic Spay

Lap Spay

We are delighted to introduce our latest piece of equipment, a Karl Storz endoscope.

This allows us to perform advanced high-tech keyhole surgery and various other scoping and diagnostic procedures all for the benefit of our patients.

With this equipment, we are now offering laparoscopic spays.

Lap spays involve the removal of the ovaries through two small ‘keyhole’ incisions, leaving the uterus intact.

This procedure involves much less stretching and pulling on the ovarian ligament therefore resulting in less trauma and a much faster and less painful recovery for the patient compared to a traditional spay.

The high-quality camera on the scope magnifies the organs and allows the surgeon to perform the surgery with an extremely precise surgical technique that just can not be replicated in a traditional spay.
